The Coffee Valley (Vale do Café), located in Rio de Janeiro, was the center of global coffee production in the mid-19th century, accounting for over 60 percent of global consumption. This golden product ensured Brazil's prosperity and contributed to its rapid economic development.

During the heyday of the Coffee Valley, local barons built majestic family estates on their fazendas. Out of more than 200 such manors with vast coffee plantations, about 30 have survived to this day. Many of them are open to tourists, including the fazenda where the cult TV series "The Slave Isaura" was filmed.

During the journey, you will dive into the daily life of the coffee barons and learn about the history of the valley, including the hard fate of the slaves. We will visit plantations where generational growers still work, preserving traditional secrets of coffee cultivation, processing, and roasting.
